Na de oprichting van het nieuwe bedrijf was Thermory Deutschland op zoek naar ERP-software die met name interfaceverbindingen ondersteunde. Deze focus was vooral belangrijk voor Thermory met het oog op het moederbedrijf in Scandinavië. De keuze viel op Odoo als ERP-systeem, omdat Odoo kon scoren met zijn services en verdere interface-aanbiedingen. Bovendien prevaleerde de software boven SAP en andere ERP-aanbieders wat betreft de kostenfactor. OBS Solutions was vanaf het begin de eerste keuze als Duitse implementatiepartner.
